Trio Laurus

Metod Sironić  enrolled in the elementary and secondary school of ‘Ivan Matetić Ronjgov’ Music School in Rijeka. He graduated in 1997 (D. Bušić), and enrolled at the Music Art College ‘Ino Mirković’ in Lovran (P. Y. Artauda).

He continued his postgraduate flute study at the École Normale de Musique in Paris (P. Y. Artauda) and chamber music (N. Patarčec) as scholarship holder. He teaches flute at the ‘Ivan Matetić Ronjgov’ Music School in Rijeka. He published feuilletons, essays and reviews in the cultural weekly ‘Mediteran’ of the national daily ‘Novi List’. From 2015 to 2018, he worked as the first solo flute in the Croatian National Theatre ‘Ivan pl. Zajc’ in Rijeka.

He regularly performs abroad and in the prestigious concert venues and festivals in Croatia. He specialized traverse flute with M. Root (HFK Bremen) and B. Csalog. From 2018, Metod is a member of the Croatian Baroque Ensemble on the position of the second transverse flute.

Giovanni Genovese  began learning cello with Prof. M. Chen in Modena. He graduated with the highest marks in 2015 at the Conservatory ‘A. Pedrollo’ in class of G. Vieri. He studied with many professors (U. Hoffman, G. Gnocchi, A. Baillie, A. Farulli, A. Nanonni…).

In 2012 he became the cello leader in the Young People Orchestra in Italy (‘Orchestra giovanile Italiana’).

He also played in the Orchestra Del Teatro Olimpico Vicenza. In 2016, he successfully auditioned for both ‘Haydn orchestra di Bolzano e Trento’ and in 2017 for ‘Teatro Lirico di Cagliari’ as 2nd cello. From 2017, he is the cello leader at the Croatian National Theatre ‘Ivan pl. Zajc’ in Rijeka.

Jelena Tihomirović  completed her elementary and secondary education in Zadar (Z. Eterovic) and in Split (J. Garin). She graduated 1999 in Zagreb (M. Gvozdić-Horvat) and received her master's degree in 2002 from the Music Art College ‘Ino Mirković’ in Lovran, in the class of dr. mus. art. E. Zarafiants. She studied accompaniment (dr. mus. art. O. Chakirova), and chamber music (K. Rodin).

She won 1st prize from the jury at the 1993 State Piano Competition. She attended various masterclasses (V. Krpan, S. Bende, W. Groppenberger, A. Portugheis, 
A. Valdme…).

From 2010 to 2016 she worked as director of the Ivo Tijardović Music School in Delnice. She performs as a soloist and in chamber ensembles in Croatia and abroad. 


In April 2019, she collaborated for the second time with the Polyhymnia in Skopje, where she played with Metod Sironić (with whom she’s performing since 2007.), and was a jury member of the international competition in piano and chamber music.
